Message from the Head of the Department

Welcome to UJ-Mechatronics, the website of the Mechatronics Engineering Department of the University of Jordan.

The Department of Mechatronics Engineering was established in 2006 to satisfy the growing need in Jordan and the region for engineering graduates who understand the impact of microelectronics on mechanical engineering, and who can utilize microelectronics for the advancement of mechanical systems.  To this end, the department has attracted a distinguished academic staff with world-wide recognition for engineering teaching and research, and has prepared a multidisciplinary program of study through which students achieve a solid understanding of the principles of mechanical, electrical, electronic, and computer engineering.  Further, the department has established eight unique laboratories dedicated to student testing and experimentation and established a mechatronics systems design labs where students get hands-on training on integrating their multidisciplinary engineering knowledge in building a broad range of mechanical systems with improved efficiency, reliability, cost and environmental impact.
